In this time of unprecedented discontent with Bush and Cheney, it is IMPERATIVE that the Democrats make the 2006 election ABOUT THEM. The election must be treated as a referendum on Bush. Period. Democracy Corps (by way of Emerging Democratic Majority) has the evidence:
Disillusionment with Bush has grown so strong that our tests show that a Democrat who runs against Bush and the Republicans performs better than one who runs only against the Republican incumbent.
