This statement by former General Wesley Clark says it succinctly: The Bush Administration is a flat-out failure and is unable to resolve the terrorist threat. Money quote:
The administration "has shown tragic incompetence in everything from nation building in Iraq to disaster relief in Louisiana," he said. "Let's face it: We're not going to win the war on terror unless we start making more friends and fewer enemies in the world, and we're not going to be able to protect the American people without a new strategy."
Bush has managed to alienate our friends, give comfort to our enemies, and generally bungle every single assignment given him, both domestic and foreign. Bush will be remembered for his unique mixture of viciousness, malice, incompetence, and dishonesty. I sense Clark shares my view.
General Clark would make a fine president, don't you think?
