All of Palin's Major Lies in One Place!

Thank you, Andrew Sullivan! Excerpts:

Palin lied when she repeatedly claimed to have said, "Thanks, but no thanks" to the Bridge to Nowhere; in fact, she openly campaigned for the federal project when running for governor.

Palin lied when she denied that Wasilla's police chief and librarian had been fired; in fact, both were given letters of termination the previous day.

Palin lied when she wrote in the NYT that a comprehensive review by Alaska wildlife officials showed that polar bears were not endangered; in fact, email correspondence between those scientists showed the opposite.

Palin lied when she claimed in her convention speech that an oil pipeline "began" under her guidance; in fact, the pipeline was years from breaking ground, if at all.

Palin lied when she told Charlie Gibson that she does not pass judgment on gay people; in fact, she opposes all rights between gay spouses and belongs to a church that promotes conversion therapy.

Palin lied when she denied having said that humans do not contribute to climate change; in fact, she had previously proclaimed that human activity was not to blame.

Palin lied when she claimed that Alaska produces 20 percent of the country's domestic energy supply; in fact, the actual figures, based on any interpretation of her words, are much, much lower
.

Read 'em all, folks! And check out the links that prove these are lies, links meticulously included by Sullivan.

Palin: simply a pathological, compulsive liar.

Palin, like all pols, has some issues with factoids and figures.

On another front:

It is one thing to not have real animosity to gays, but also hold that certain lifestyles are in opposition to one's belief system.

I'm not going to pour over all of this, but Palin is certainly (as we SEE NOW, brother!) no more a "liar" than any other pol out there, and certainly has been more forthright than the Obama administration.

On that last point, that was an error about energy production from Alaska. That's distinct from a lie.

No, Mr. Tolbert, you are 100% WRONG. Palin habitually, pathologically, stubbornly, proudly, repeatedly lies on EVERYTHING. That was the point of Sullivan's compilation. She is also a part of a group of extreme Pentecostals who violently hate gays, and she panders to the worst of the racist/homophobic radical Right. She also underwent an exorcism to protect her from witchcraft. Welcome to the G-d Damned 14th century.

The Bridge to Nowhere lie was repeated AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. Even when it was clearly proven that Palin had, in fact, supported the project, she continued to LIE about it. Sickening and insulting.

My Master's degree is in history, concentrated in modern Russian history. I have been to Russia, spoken with Russians, speak some Russian, and have a strong understanding of modern Russian history and politics. To hear Palin--who has done or has NONE of these things--described as having "foreign policy experience" because far western Alaska is near far eastern Russia almost made me physically ill. To hear her described as an "energy expert" made me laugh with contempt. That she embraced both of these fictions convinced me again that she is almost as wretchedly dishonest as Dick Cheney.

Has been more forthright than Obama? About what, exactly? About the fact that she's a proud ignoramus? About her non-stop lying? About her utter lack of education and qualifications?

Don't try to sell Palin to me pal. Try it on some clown from Free Republic.
