Vanity Fair magazine is publishing a piece that purports to demonstate that House Speaker Dennis Hastert has taken bribes from Turkish interests. (A summary of the allegations can be found here.)
It might not be so, but who knows? I know: let's start a congressional investigation and hire a special prosecutor. Maybe the Wall Street Journal can run dozens of editorials on it. It wouldn't be unprecedented.
It's what happened in the Whitewater "scandal".
