GALLUP: THE PEOPLE STAND WITH OBAMA, NOT THE REPUBLICANS!

Their support for him is overwhelming. And just at the contrast between the immensely popular president and the widely despised Congressional Republicans:

APPROVE OF THE WAY PRESIDENT OBAMA HAS HANDLED THE STIMULUS PACKAGE:

67%

APPROVE OF THE WAY THE CONGRESSIONAL REPUBLICANS HAVE HANDLED THE STIMULUS PACKAGE:

31% (!!)

Despite the lies and nonsense dribbling out of the Beltway media, President Obama, as Gallup puts it, "has the upper hand".

I guess the Limbaugh Party isn't so popular, after all.

Joseph, Can we blame George Bush for the rising gas prices across the U.S.?

I was disappointed with President Obama's prepared speech last night. All he did was read from the teleprompter. I thought that we were done with a President who reads to the people. I would give him a grade of C-. When he answered the questions he was back to his old self. He did much better. I watched it with my wife and she was impressed. But, the facts and figures that he gave during the Q&A part were not new. Anyone who follows the news and knows anything about economics could have given you the facts and statistics. I would give him a grade of B+ for the Q&A. He did have a few Bushisms and I did get a laugh at his list of reporters that he called on and then did not know where they were seated in the room. Rookie mistake and I am sure he will be better next time.
