No Punishment WHATSOEVER for Lieberman
Senate Democrats voted heavily to allow Joe Lieberman to maintain his Homeland Security chairmanship, despite Lieberman's vile, ugly rhetoric in support of John McCain.
Hey loyal Obama supporters! Hey liberals and progressives, the people who make up the most loyal core of the Democratic Party! The Senate Democrats have a message for you: Go to hell.
Kissing Joe Lieberman's ass trumps everything else.
I kinda see where they're comin from. They want a super majority, and keeping Lieberman is their best chance because of his democratic history. And since if he resigned a republican would be naming his replacement, it would undoubtedly be a republican. But Lieberman's actions are inexcusable acts of treason against the party and the fact that he isn't being punished in any form is ridiculous.
