We today honor those who fell at Lexington and Concord, Saratoga and Yorktown. We honor those who fell in defending Ft. McHenry and those who marched with Winfield Scott. We recall those who "gave the last full measure of devotion" at Antietam and Gettysburg. We honor those who charged San Juan Hill, fought at Belleau Wood, and died at Guadalcanal, Anzio, Normandy, and Iwo Jima. We reverently remember those who sacrificed at Inchon, Khe Sanh, and in the Gulf War. And we honor those who have fallen in the current struggle. And we always, always remember: WE MAY CRITICIZE THE WAR, BUT NEVER THE WARRIORS.
May all rest in peace. And please, some day Lord, may there be no new ones.
