The federal budget will be $3.94 trillion plan that includes a $1.75trillion deficit in the current fiscal year ending Sept. 30 and that plans for a $1.17 trillion deficit for fiscal 2010. Yes he has pledged to cut the deficit in half in four years, that is if everything falls perfectly in place. But, that total of $875million deficit is still larger than any deficit during your favorite President, 'W'. Do you honestly believe that it is possible to cut his deficit in half by the end of his term?
Anonymous, it depends on two things: 1. The rate of growth the stimulus measures are able to generate. 2. The extent to which the bank crisis black hole sucks in resources. AIG, for example, has the potential to be a problem for a long time.
