I am sorry to say, but the Minnesota election reminded me a lot of the Florida recount. Nobody liked that recount and nobody liked this recount. This is another example of crooked counting. Maybe we need to have a national voting day or do it on a Saturday so no absentee ballots can be cast.

Anonymous, do you EVER have any idea of what you're talking about? The Minnesota recount has been done in the most transparent manner imaginable. The state board of elections posted controversial ballots ON THE FREAKING INTERNET for God's sake. Much of recounting was TELEVISED. Minnesota has the best system in the Union for dealing with close elections. Right Wing Hate Radio has been pushing the LIE that the Minnesota recount was fixed. Bullshit. They just don't like the result. The 2000 recount in Florida was a criminal act, a coup by the radical Right. The Minnesota recount was a model of democracy, with EVERY step monitored with the closest scrutiny and impartiality. The idea that "nobody" liked this recount is a blatant falsehood. Right-wing crybabies don't like it because they lost. Deal with it.

I live in MN and Joe is absolutely correct. The hearings/counting was onTV. 3 of 5 officials are Repub appointed.

Norm is the only inconsistency - don't recount/keep counting, exclude ballots/include more ballots based on whether or not he leads.
