Michele Bachmann is a Repulsive, Lying Idiot

She blames FDR for a measure that was passed under Hoover and she can't even get its name right. She praises the Republicans of the 1920s, saying that Coolidge (!) faced a much more severe recession than FDR did!! (Unemployment in the U.S. had risen to 25% by the time FDR was sworn in, and banks were failing left and right.) This so-called "super-patriot" doesn't even know what the hell she's talking about with regard to her own country's history, and yet she jabbers about it with Palin-like unjustified confidence.

No wonder Hannity loves her. Kindred spirits, you know.

Right-Wing Lament: Sigh, if Only Blacks and Women Didn't Exist

Then the Republicans might actually have a chance of winning. American Prospect has the story here.

The American People Have Given Their Verdict on Obama's First 100 Days

And the verdict is this:

GREAT START, MR. PRESIDENT!

69% APPROVAL

77% SAY STRONG LEADER

72% POSITIVE PERSONAL RATING

MASSIVE SHIFT IN RIGHT TRACK/WRONG TRACK NUMBERS.

No, I don't agree with everything President Obama is doing. He listens too much to Wall Street insiders and is dragging his feet about prosecuting Bush era criminals. But I'll tell you this--he is off to one DAMNED impressive beginning. Children's health care, protecting equal pay for women, starting to wind down the Iraq War, outlawing torture, aggressively going after the terrorists in Pakistan, the stimulus package, the protections for mortgage holders, the moves toward genuine health care reform, and on and on and on. Oh, and the huge rise in international regard for America's president. I give him a A- so far, and I think most of the nation feels the same way.

Bill O'Reilly: Historical Imbecile

He claims--adamantly--that Richard Nixon never met Chinese dictator Mao Zedong. And when someone tries to correct him, he INSISTS that he is right.

Here ya go, Billy Boy.

I tell ya, this guy is just demented. It's just compared to Hannity and Beck that he seems sane.

Conservative "Love of Country"

That is, until a Democrat becomes president.

It has been one of the more ironic aspects of the week, hasn't it? The love-it-or-leave-it crowd -- the same folks who equated dissent with treason not too long ago -- has, after not quite three months of a Democratic administration, reached a very different conclusion about standards of patriotism in the 21st century.

Secession. Threats of violence. Veiled threats to do physical harm to our leaders. It's all there.

Love of country? More like calls for treason.

Don't Let the Radical Right Lie to You: This is the BUSH-CHENEY RECESSION

Eric Alterman lays a body slam on the right-wing liars and their enablers in the MSM, the ones who actually have the nerve to blame Barack Obama--who's been president for all of 85 days--for America's economic problems and exonerate Bush, who was president for eight freaking years!! Key passage:

Never mind that it was the Bush administration that originally decided to bail out the four largest banks in America, AIG, and the automobile industry well before Obama won the election. And never mind, more importantly, that it was the Bush’s administration’s policy and ideological principles, favoring deregulation at any cost, that rested at the heart of bad economic decision after bad economic decision, and helped cause the crisis in the first place. What’s more, Bush and company were AWOL per usual when presented with the opportunity to address, even fix, the risky subprime lending industry. (Alas, in Fox’s defense, and to paraphrase CNN’s Anderson Cooper, it’s hard to think when you’re tea-bagging.)

Remember, folks, that the people who are pushing this "everything is Obama's fault" bullshit are pathological liars like Hannity, Limbaugh, and the entire Fox propaganda operation. Remember, too, that conservative political leaders and pundits NEVER TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING, ANYTHING, ANYTHING.  Even though the current economic disaster is DIRECTLY the fault of right-wing economic tactics that deliberately set out to bludgeon the Middle Class, the radical right-wing crooks seek to spew out all the blame on someone who had absolutely nothing to do with it. It's the way these conservative criminals operate. They're just like the Mafia, only with fewer moral scruples.

The radical right cannot be successfully engaged and talked to--they can only be politically crushed and destroyed. There can be no reasoning with people this blatantly dishonest. There can only be our victory, and their total defeat.

Ha Ha Ha! "Teabaggers" Only Draw About 200K in Whole Nation TOTAL!

The Right-Wing Republican Governor of Texas is Talking TREASON

That would be all-round clown and conservative Republican Rick Perry who said today that Texas might secede from the Union if Washington continues its "oppression".

The right-wingers lose a couple of elections and they start talking violence and secession. These aren't patriots. These are selfish, spoiled, ranting, hate-filled losers.

And some of them are turning into traitors.

The Tea Party "Movement": Pure Astroturf

As in phony grass roots. Josh Marshall has the goods:

Jon Henke of the website The Next Right defended the tea parties from the charge, writing that "[w]hat FreedomWorks and various other organizations are doing is not "astroturf" any more than the anti-war protests of some years back were astroturf because ANSWER and Moveon.org helped organize people around those events."

There are, of course, differences between MoveON and FreedomWorks. But his post nonetheless raises a couple interesting questions, such as: Who first proposed holding tea party events? When did major conservative organizations get involved? And how much support have they gained along the way?

The answer to the first question is "FreedomWorks." The answer to the second question is "right from the start." And the answer to the last question is "less than you'd expect, given the months of hype."

I'm going to be blunt. The so-called Tea Party movement is about two things:

1. Protecting the wealth and power of the wealthy and powerful.

2. Allowing unhinged right wing fruitcakes to vent their hatred toward a FREELY AND FAIRLY ELECTED African-American Democrat. I mean, how DARE he govern!

Most of the conservatives participating in all this are childish hypocrites who are throwing a tantrum because THEY LOST THE FREAKING ELECTION. They seem to think it's their right to get their way even when they lose. What's pathetic is that they're being cynically manipulated by rich right-wingers who don't want their top tax rate raised to 39.5%--all the way from 35%. The vast majority of the Teabaggers are getting a TAX CUT from the wicked and oppressive Obama and the evil, illegitimate Democratic Congress. What a group of idiots and losers.

Enemies of oppression? When Bush---

suspended habeas corpus rights

instituted torture

sent suspects to known torturing nations in "special renditions"

violated the Fourth Amendment's search and seizure provisions

implied that anyone who dared to criticize him was a traitor and a terrorist supporter,

THEY SAID NOTHING. In fact, THEY CHEERED.

And now, with a Democratic president in office for less than three months, these "patriots" (what a joke!) are threatening violence and even secession. Now the mask (or is it hood?) has been stripped off of the radical right. And the truth is brutally clear:

They are the real threat to America.

Addendum: To be fair, some of the Tea Party protestors are going to be there out of concern for the huge deficits and massive spending. Well, I'm worried about them, too. But whereas I was warning about it constantly, they were voting for Bush. Where were these people for eight years? Mars? And just how do they propose to deal with the disaster left to us by CATASTROPHIC CONSERVATIVE ECONOMIC POLICIES?

Hey Teabagging Idiots! The Estate Tax Won't Affect You at All!

Remember, folks, the war against the "Death Tax", as right-wing liars call it, is being pushed by a handful of super-rich families. Right-wingers try to tell you that all kinds of family farms and small businesses are being ruined by it. This is an outright lie. Look at the evidence--and then look who's behind the "Tea Parties" (see below).

Right-Wing Lobbyists and Corporations Funding the So-Called "Tea Parties"

Think Progress has the story here. These "citizen protests" are merely vehicles for the promotion of right-wing corporate agendas and have nothing to do with any genuine "outrage" at taxes. In fact, over NINETY PER CENT OF AMERICANS HAVE JUST HAD A TAX CUT. What in the hell is going on here? I'll tell you. It's manipulation of right-wing sore loser anger by those in the top 5% who will see their taxes go from 35% to the (obviously Marxist-socialist-Satanic-terrorist coddling) level of 39.5%. It's also the expression of right-wing hatred over the fact that the conservatives had their asses handed to them in 2006 and 2008.

To the Republican base, the situation is simple: No Democrat has the right to be president, even one who was freely and fairly elected. These cretins think that they have a God-given right to govern and push everyone else around. Add to the fact that the president is African-American and progressive, and their hatred goes into overdrive. These people are what I've called them before: The Timothy McVeigh Wing of the Republican Party. They are being egged on and organized by Fox "News" and other right-wing companies to try to damage a genuinely good and devoted man, Barack Obama, through the ugliest of lies and malicious attacks. These so-called "Tea Parties" are con jobs clear through, a cynical ploy by rich and powerful interests to keep control of our nation.

Too bad the people planning to go to them are too dense, delusional, and unbalanced to realize that they're simply being played for suckers.

Hey Tea Bag Idiots! The BLUE States Pay the Money--the RED States Suck It In!

The Tax Foundation has released a study that shows (once again) the blazing hypocrisy of the Radical Right that runs the Republican Party. Eight of the top ten states that get MORE in federal spending than they paid in taxes voted for McCain last November.  All ten of the states at the bottom of the list, ones that pay MORE TAXES than they receive in federal dollars voted for Obama! In fact, of the 22 states that voted for McCain, TWENTY-ONE received more federal money than they paid in. And Sarah Palin's Alaska is the third highest state on the whole list, getting $1.78 in benefits for every $1.00 Alaskans pay in.

Once again I say:

GET  ALL THE "SELF-RELIANT" CONSERVATIVES OFF WELFARE!!

The Flood of Right-Wing Republican Damned Lies Continues

Oh, and by the way right-wing teabagging clowns, in regard to the defense budget:

534 billion (the proposed Obama budget)  is bigger than 513 billion (the last Bush budget).

Am I going too fast for you?

534 IS BIGGER THAN 513.

Got it?

Thank You, Roger Ebert!

For (verbally) smashing right-wing clown Bill O' Reilly across the face with a 2 x 4 of a column in the Chicago Sun-Times. Seems that Billo is all upset that the Sun-Times is dropping his lying, ranting column from the newspaper. O'Reilly is making dire threats because of this. Ebert's reply is priceless. And for me, the punch line is classic:

Bill, I am concerned that you have been losing touch with reality recently. Did you really say you are more powerful than any politician?

That reminds me of the famous story about Squeaky the Chicago Mouse. It seems that Squeaky was floating on his back along the Chicago River one day. Approaching the Michigan Avenue lift bridge, he called out: Raise the bridge! I have an erection!

Lying Right Wing Idiot Inhofe Strikes Again

That would be the man who is perhaps the worst member of the Senate, rabid conservative Republican James Inhofe of Oklahoma. He is spreading the despicable lie that President Obama is "gutting our military". And how is the Evil Librul Obama doing that? By INCREASING the Defense budget by $21 billion!!  Steve Benen delivers the smackdown:

Of course, Inhofe is either lying or he's a fool. (It's so hard to tell.) Following the recommendations of its Republican defense secretary, the Obama administration is increasing military spending from $513 billion under Bush to $534 billion in 2010. Inhofe, who's never been accused of being the sharpest crayon in the box, is making a series of ridiculous war-related accusations that don't make any sense at all. "Disarming America"? "Ravaging the military at a time of war"? "Undercutting" the troops? Even by Inhofe standards, this is blisteringly stupid.

Inhofe is one of the most shameless, brazen liars in the GOP, and it takes some doing to achieve that distinction. You know why he's so angry? Because one of the weapon systems being cut is made in Oklahoma.

Gee, I wonder if Inhofe ever raised his voice about the lack of body armor and Humvee armor that our troops in Iraq had to deal with under Bush?

Guess Oklahoma didn't stand to lose any money then.

Michelle Bachmann is Insane.

Read this and tell me you disagree.

I am not speaking figuratively when I call her insane, by the way.

I am being as serious and as literal as I can. I honestly think this wretched woman has lost her mind.

So naturally, she has big following on the political right.

Lying Punk Hannity "Edits" President Obama's Remarks

Sean Hannity again demonstrates his utter dishonesty and penchant for cheap lies through his selective quotation of President Obama's remarks on U.S.-European relations. Hannity is a greasy little right-wing pimp who continues to defecate all over our public discourse with his fraudulent brand of "journalism".

Well, what can you expect from a so-called "Christian" who says he's OK with torturing other humans?

More Tragic RIGHT-WING Violence

The horrible deaths of three police officers in Pittsburgh caused by a right-wing fanatic is DIRECTLY the result of the reckless, traitorous, homicidal dog shit coming out of the mouths of people like Glenn Beck, Michelle Malkin, Michelle Bachmann, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, and all the other right wing scum who have been talking about President Obama as if he were some kind of Communist foreign invader. The brain-addled schmuck loser who killed these brave officers said that he was afraid Obama was going to seize all his guns and that the country was headed downward.

Are you happy and proud all you right-wing media assholes? Are you proud of your good obedient boy in Pittsburgh gunning down police officers? THIS KIND OF TRAGEDY IS ON YOUR HEADS, YOU SEWER RATS. Your rhetoric encourages credulous, weak-minded people like the 23 year-old killer who has now plunged three families into a lifetime of mourning.  You talk about violence, revolution, and secession. You casually call our president every despicable name in the book and hurl every lie at him imaginable. So don't sit there and pretend to be shocked by the deaths of these three good cops.

In a sense, you helped kill them.

Right-Wing Republican Thief and Con Artist to Lead Fight Against Health Care Reform

That would be a foul specimen known as Richard L. Scott, who was involved in a MASSIVE fraud some years ago when he was the head of Columbia/HCA, a major health care company. Naturally, congressional Republicans just love him.

Read about this disgusting crook, and then redouble your resolve to get EVERY American the health care he or she needs.

A Call to Action

And it's right here in this post by economist Simon Johnson, who sounds the warning about the financial oligarchy--his term--that has come to dominate American politics. Read this if you want to be truly sobered about how drastic our situation really is, and how strong the medicine we might have to take could turn out to be.

And this will definitely get your attention:

The conventional wisdom among the elite is still that the current slump “cannot be as bad as the Great Depression.” This view is wrong. What we face now could, in fact, be worse than the Great Depression—because the world is now so much more interconnected and because the banking sector is now so big. We face a synchronized downturn in almost all countries, a weakening of confidence among individuals and firms, and major problems for government finances. If our leadership wakes up to the potential consequences, we may yet see dramatic action on the banking system and a breaking of the old elite. Let us hope it is not then too late.

There is NO Lie the Conservatives Will Not Tell, Part 2,131,337

Dahlia Lithwick details the grotesque smear campaign of outright damned LIES being waged against two of President Obama's nominees for legal positions in the Administration. Read about it and think again about the colossal damage that has been and is being done to America by the radical, lunatic Right.

And then ask yourself why the Corporate Media never seem to call them on it.
